Having joined White Ribbon Scotland staff in October 2013, I was honoured to be appointed by the WRS Board as Campaign Director in October 2017.

I absolutely believe in the potential of the White Ribbon Scotland campaign to bring about change in Scottish society. However we need to realise that we are one cog in the wheel formed by many organisations seeking to decrease and ultimately eliminate violence against women. We will work alongside and in collaboration with many others and together we will reach a tipping point in public opinion which will result in a new era whereby the men who are out of step are those who do not express their opinions on VAW openly. When that happens change will accelerate as the weight of public opinion will be saying VAW is not acceptable here in Scotland and anyone coming here will know it.
