The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s White Ribbon Campaign Steering Group and Volunteers held three awareness-raising sessions during this year’s Freshers Week.
Supported by the Student Union, Steering Group members Ulysse Verjus and Teri Beverage reported good engagement.
“Our sessions covered different forms of violence against women, the social factors that can contribute – social norms, gender norms, representations in the media, bystander theory, and safe interventions.”
Almost 70 students and staff signed the White Ribbon pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women in all its forms.

After you sign it please consider an early example of your declaration to ‘not remain silent’ about violence against women by telling someone today that you signed the pledge and be proud you have done so – then encourage them to do the same.
