Andrew Myers, one of Network Rail’s Engineering Apprentice Team Leader arranged the an information session for his most recent cohort of apprentice engineers after attending the White Ribbon Scotland stall at Edinburgh Waverley station as part of the Inspiration Train events.
Campaign Director, Davy Thompson held the event, in which there was excellent engagement.
Davy said, “What a great afternoon we had in Glasgow today with this group of ScotRail apprentice engineers. Having outlined the White Ribbon Scotland Campaign, we explored the need for men to speak out more about violence against women and discussed the examples of violence against women, and the issues underpinning it, which we had all experienced in our lives.
They represent the future of ScotRail and Scotland’s Railway and there is a lot of positive potential.”
