We were lucky enough to meet with Lucia Janicova, the first Slovak woman to climb Mount Everest at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena in Edinburgh last week.
Lucia Janicova’s lived experience as a survivor of gender-based violence offers a personal and powerful lens through which she can help White Ribbon Scotland challenge harmful norms, foster empathy, and inspire meaningful change in communities across the country.
As an Everest Summiteer, she embodies courage in every sense.
We are currently exploring opportunities for Lucia to speak at future White Ribbon Scotland events, where her story and advocacy could inspire many more to take action against gender-based violence.
