Importing/Uploading Multiple Pledges

A short tutorial to introduce you to the process of Importing/Uploading Multiple Pledges

Before you can upload a new CSV file you must make sure that the file is correctly set up and saved as a .csv

  • Import Number – e.g. ‘import1’ this must be all the same for each import (**IMPORTANT** Records with duplicate {importnumber}-{pledgenumber} will overwrite previous records with the same {importnumber}-{pledgenumber}
  • Pledge Number – Sequential number of the line in the import
  • Status campaign – Exact name of the campaign or ignored. The campaign must be created in WordPress prior to import
  • Gender – Male, Female or Other. Any other values will not be registered
  • Marketing agreed – Yes or blank. Any values other than “Yes” will count as no.
  • Privacy – Yes or blank. Any values other than “Yes” will count as no
  • Number of Pledges – Enter a number. Blank counts as 1
  • The file must be exported as a .CSV

Uploading CSV

  • Navigate to the Dashboard
  • In the left-hand menu select ‘All Import > Manage Imports’ **IMPORTANT** do not go to New Import
  • Hover the mouse over the existing import and select ‘Import Settings’
  • On the next screen select ‘Upload a file’ and select the file from your computer hard drive. Select ‘Open’
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select ‘Save Import Configuration’
  • Then select the ‘Run Import’ button and ‘Confirm & Run Import’
  • Wait for the import to complete
  • You can navigate to pledges on the left-hand side to check that everything is OK.

Creating a New Campaign Page

A short tutorial to introduce you to the process of Creating a New Campaign Page

  • Navigate to the ‘Dashboard’
  • Go to ‘Campaigns > Add New’
  • Enter a ‘Title’
  • Campaign Pages are broken into 2 text boxes so complete as required
  • **Optional** If the Campaign has a location you can enter an address and drag the pointer around within the map
  • To add partner logos select ‘Add first Campaign Partner’ and upload or select a logo – Add more as desired or delete
  • If the campaign is related to a postcode select a list of postcodes separated bu a coma and no space (EH1,EH2,EH3)
  • Select ‘Publish’

Note: At some point, you may want campaigns to exist in the database and count towards the pledge counts, but not want to show on the “White Ribbon Status Campaigns” page. In this case, set the campaign to “Password Protected”. You will still be able to import pledges to the campaign, and the pledges will still count to the pledge totals.
