Ayr Fire Station Event Boosts South Ayrshire White Ribbon Campaign
The South Ayrshire White Ribbon Scotland Status Campaign received a significant boost at a recent outreach event hosted by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at Ayr Fire Station. Arranged by the South Ayrshire Multi-Agency Partnership, the well-attended day focused on proactive community engagement regarding violence against women.
Throughout the event, attendees engaged directly with White Ribbon Scotland staff and volunteers to discuss the causes of gender-based violence and practical steps toward prevention. A central focus of the day is always the White Ribbon pledge, with visitors committing to the personal promise never to commit, excuse, or remain silent about male violence against women and girls.
The turnout highlights that the South Ayrshire Status Campaign is successfully reaching men and boys across the region, encouraging direct participation in local prevention efforts and fostering critical dialogue within the community.

You can sign the White Ribbon pledge “Never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women in all its forms”.
After you sign it please consider an early example of your declaration to ‘not remain silent’ about violence against women by telling someone today that you signed the pledge and be proud you have done so – then encourage them to do the same. Remember to Make Your Pledge – White Ribbon Scotland
