St Paul’s Youth Forum Status Project

Pledges Made:0000013

A Steering Group is being formed to develop a White Ribbon Scotland Status Project for St. Paul’s Youth Forum who operate across Blackhill and Provanmill in Glasgow.  Contact our White Ribbon Scotland Administration Officer on Rebekah@whiteribbonscotland.org.uk if you would like to discuss how you could be involved in this local community Project.  White Ribbon Scotland is a charity which began in 2010 and seeks to engage men to help end violence against women (VAW) by raising awareness of VAW and what men and boys can do to help end it.  They recognize groups, organisations or areas which carry out a project to support this aim with the award of White Ribbon Status. The Project then continues to ensure an on-going approach to tackling violence against women in this way.

After we have recruited and trained volunteers to act as Speakers for this local campaign you can look out for activities in your local area.

Meanwhile please go to the main website to sign the White Ribbon Scotland pledge and say, “I pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women in all its forms”.  When you do this please select to link your pledge to your local St. Paul’s Youth Forum Status Project.  After you sign it please consider an early application of your declaration to ‘not remain silent’ about violence against women by telling someone today that you signed the pledge and be proud you have done so; then encourage them to do the same.

St. Paul’s Youth Forum is a collection of youth focused programmes based in Provanmill in the North East part of Glasgow. Our programmes provide young people between the ages of 0-25 with opportunities to learn, develop, and interact in a safe and fun environment.

Most men do not commit violence against women. But all men have a role in ending it. If we all start by making a pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about men's violence against women in all its forms, that will make a huge difference.
