White Ribbon March in Stirling - 2012

Stirling Marches Again!

The annual White Ribbon March is taking place on Monday 11th June. This year's March will be the first to take place during the summer months; if the weather is as good as it has been we look forward to a good turn-out after previous marches have been affected by poor weather.

Since the inception of the March some years ago Stirling has taken steps to become Scotland's first White Ribbon Local Authority. A resolution was passed at the Council's Executive meeting in January 2011 which led to the White Ribbon Award being granted in May the same year.

Participants will meet at Stirling Castle at 6.30pm and march through the town centre to raise awareness and show solidarity of our efforts to end violence against women. After proceeding from the Castle Esplanade through the city the March will end with a rally at Stirling's Council Headquarters at Old Viewforth.

It would be great to see you there if you can take part. Please invite your colleagues and friends - we look forward to seeing you there!

ALSO - VOLUNTEER STEWARDS REQUIRED. Due to the numbers expected we will need more stewards than before. If you are available to attend and wish to help then please get in touch either by posting/mailing through Facebook or emailing me at
