In Scotland, there are events to engage the public:

Engender will be at the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh from 1pm dancing to feminist anthems

An event will be held in Kelso which will link the events that are taking place across the Scottish Borders. Schools and women's groups will show films and flashmobs of up to 1,000 people across the Borders all rising during the same hour, 12pm-1pm. You can sign up for the event here.

In Moray the Violence Against Women Partnership team is organising a dance at the Border Union Showground in Kelso from 6.30 -7.30pm

In Edinburgh there will be a flashmob at Edinburgh Waverly station at 12noon and Engender have organised a rally outside the Scottish Parliament from 1-2pm find out more here

In Aberdeen a flashmob in the city centre at 4.30 pm (tbc)

In Glasgow an event to get women dancing in Stereo from 7pm -midnight (£5 and women only). Please contact Nancy.lombard@gcu.ac.uk to confirm attendance.

We will be keeping this page updated so you can get involved in events close to you.

The purpose of these events is to highlight that we will no longer be silent about violence against women. We would like to encourage men to attend (where they are included) and see this as a human rights issue. In some cases, events are for women only to ensure a safe space, which we fully respect.
