Domestic Abuse Delivery Plan

White Ribbon Scotland wishes to make you aware of an event on 24th June 2011 at our Dynamic Earth showcasing all the work that has been funded through the Delivery Plan and supported by the VAW fund. White Ribbon Scotland received funding through the Delivery Plan and looks forward to attending the morning session and exhibiting during the afternoon - we hope to see you there.

The day will be split into two parts - please read the information below (flyers attached).

Domestic Abuse Resources and Training for Schools in Scotland (DARTSS) and Safe Hub Scotland website launch

Our Dynamic Earth, Friday 24th June, 9.30am-12.30pm

This event is for children, young people, teachers, staff and their partners from schools, local authorities and voluntary agencies across Scotland to attend the launch of the Domestic Abuse Resources and Training for Schools in Scotland (DARTSS) and Safe Hub Scotland websites. There will be guest speakers and workshops on the following intiatives:

  • Why Create a Drama - plays and DVD
  • Dundee Schools Domestic Abuse Interventions pilot
  • Violence Reduction Unit and the bystander approach including 'Get Savi'
  • National Domestic Abuse Campaign for Children and Young People and Voice Against Violence
  • Our Rights Our Lives Conference
  • Childline and their response to web chat and calls on domestic abuse

A buffet lunch will be provided at 12.30pm and you are warmly invited to attend the afternoon event showcasing which will follow. National Domestic Abuse Delivery Plan Showcase

Join in celebrating the success of the Delivery Plan as it nears completion after 3 years and £10 million funding by the Scottish Government. This event will provide the chance to meet and discuss the Delivery Plan on a one to one basis with those who have developed and implemented specific priorities. You will also be able to visit an informal market place for information and materials about all the different project strands of the delivery plan. Priority areas include:

  • Routine enquiry in NHS Scotland
  • Getting It Right For Every Child Pathfinders
  • The Caledonian System
  • ASSIST Specialist Court and specialist approaches in the criminal justice system
  • Safe Contact
  • Specialist Services for Children and Young People Experiencing Domestic Abuse
  • Children Experiencing Domestic Abuse Recovery Project (CEDAR)
  • Housing Support and Homelessness
  • Prevention Networks
  • The National Campaign - Public Education and Promotion in Schools
  • Participation of Children and Young People
